Important Helpful Hints
1. Phone the store first, ask if they have what you need, what their hours of business are, and do they offer our students a cash discount.
2. In fitting ballet slippers, please remember, the shoe must be a snug fit; there is no right or left, as they are designed to mold to the foot.
ALWAYS PURCHASE elastics with soft pleated toe or split sole ballet shoes (most stores provide these at no charge).
3. DO NOT wear your new shoes until the teacher has approved the fit. soiled shoes cannot be returned. Poorly fitting shoes are of no value to someone studying dance.
4. If and when a ballet student is ready for pointe shoes, the teacher will advise the student what shoe is best for their particular kind of foot. There are dozens of makes & all have their special features. The wrong shoe can make training pure torture. The first pointe fitting is the most important and is arranged by appointment with a teacher from the school present to ensure the correct and most comfortable fit.
